My history and love for Chitenges (African print fabric) started early, Whenever we would visit Zambia we would go to the market and I would see the beautiful prints displayed, every woman was wearing them too, whether around her waist or covering her hair. I found the idea of the wrapping of the fabric rather interesting. One piece of cloth that was maybe 2m long could be wrapped and used in so many ways. The Hybrid Infinity dress. The first time I designed the hybrid infinity dress was in about 2009, first for a model then later my sister was attending a wedding and I had no idea what to make her since she lived out of town and I had no measurements. The idea was sparked and very quickly became our go-to dress because of its versatility not just in styling but shapes too, we had a jumpsuit, pencil skirt, and mini skirt version.
