Our Ri.Ch Aunties are truly global — and their journeys inspire everything we do.
When we launched our first Ri.Ch Aunty Summer event in late 2024, it was all about creating a space for connection, celebration, and luxury with soul. Lesego Serolong Holzapfel, the founder of Moedi Wines, was one of our earliest partners — and generously sponsored the event with bottles of her delicious, proudly South African wine. Because really, what pairs better with fashion than a glass of something elegant in hand?

A Cape Town Catch-Up: From Email to IRL
Lesego quickly became a Ri.Ch client, but between her travel schedule and our ever-evolving world, it was hard to pin her down for measurements! So when I recently began a new season in Cape Town, I took the opportunity to visit Moedi Wines headquarters and finally meet her in person.
We talked dresses, drinks, and diaspora — and it reminded me how much power lives in collaboration between African women entrepreneurs. There’s something sacred about sitting across from a sister who not only gets the vision, but is building her own too.

From Taung, Mafikeng to Global Recognition
Lesego’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Originally from Taung, Mafikeng, she’s built a wine brand that doesn’t just taste beautiful — it’s rooted in purpose.
Through Moedi Wines, Lesego works with rural beekeepers in South Africa, creating opportunities for sustainable agriculture and empowering local communities. Her work recently caught global attention: she was honored in Washington D.C. at the South African Embassy for her excellence in wine and entrepreneurship.

To see one of our Ri.Ch Aunties celebrated on an international stage? That’s the dream. That’s the vision.
Styled by Ri.Ch, Powered by Purpose
For her U.S. appearance, Lesego chose two Ri.Ch favourites: our Ife Dress — soft, elegant, and versatile — and the bold Pop Art Earrings by Wear Buyiswa. Seeing our pieces travel the world and show up in moments of pride and recognition is such a full-circle feeling.
It reminds me why we create: not just for fashion, but for storytelling, connection, and celebration.
Here’s to More Moments Like This
As The Oasis continues to grow and we explore new ways to build bridges between fashion, culture, and community, moments like these affirm that we’re on the right path.
Here’s to more success. More storytelling. And more strategic partnerships between women who are moving the continent forward — in style.
Cheers to our global Ri.Ch Aunties — and the beautiful futures we’re creating together. 🍷✨
