I heard a word the other day that said something along the lines of Get busy living so one day when you’re old in grey in a rocking chair your stories are spicy, fun, and full of flavour and adventure so with that in mind… I guess I’ve been busy with the very meaty part of the story, the part that will leave my grandkids saying “And then what did you do Ouma?”

Anyway, if life is to be lived then let's discuss this new dress. The Ife dress. 

When I posted it and wore it I was shook! What a dress! Then I wondered, what's appropriate to wear to someone else wedding? Was I leading my customers into being a little over the top at someone else’s do?

When I had my wedding back in 2017, I had a dress code: African Bohemian and 2 mood boards, one female, and one male, they were sent out to all guests. I wanted people to honour the vibe of the day and I wanted my guests to look grand! It was a Ri.Ch Factory wedding after all, if you haven’t seen it check out #kutamafest on IG

So, What’s appropriate to wear as a wedding guest? I believe the occasion should be honoured; couples spend a lot of money on their special day so please do show up looking like it. If you know the bride isn’t so extra you might wanna dial it down just a little bit so you let her have her moment, maybe leave the peacock version of you at home just the one day ( Here are some of my previous looks as a guest)
