Hey girl.
How are you?
Over on my side, life’s been shifting in quiet but powerful ways. I’ve been allowing myself — and by extension, Ri.Ch Factory — to grow, soften, and evolve. The truth is, I started this brand when I was just 17. That makes her 18 now. A whole grown woman.
Eighteen is such a chaotic & beautiful age. Remember that time in your life? You were probably just getting your first taste of real independence — living away from home, experimenting with your identity, rocking bold looks and chasing the kind of freedom only youth can afford - I was a special hint of rebellious
Ri.Ch Factory is in that phase too. She’s exploring herself all over again.
Before I get into the juicy stuff, though — can we take a moment for the Solange Skirt? I wore her on a recent vacation in Cape Town, right where Solange filmed her “Losing You” music video. While I was shooting content, my brother turned to me and said,
"When you post this, you HAVE to use the 'Losing You' audio — it’s only right."
And you know what? He was right.
So, what’s changing?
I’ve always been multi-passionate — a creative director, a storyteller, a mother, a speaker. But the way Ri.Ch Factory was running before didn’t leave much room for those other parts of me to breathe. And honestly? Running a business as a CEO, not just a creative, is a lot.
So I gave myself permission to restructure. To do business differently. To slow down.
✨ Here’s what that looks like:
-
We’ve moved. Ri.Ch Factory is now based in a private showroom in Newtown, Johannesburg.
-
Shopping is by appointment only. You can book fittings, consultations, and collections here → [insert link].

We’re embracing a slower model. Select items are in stock, but most pieces are made-to-order, taking up to 14 working days.
While I was in Cape Town, I visited Sindiso Khumalo’s store — a Black female designer whose work I adore. She told me about a garment she only makes four of per month. Around that same time, I came across a podcast by Hermès, where they spoke about intentional craftsmanship as the heart of true fashion — not industrial mass production.
That’s the lane I want to be in now.
Slow. Intentional. Crafted with care.
I want Ri.Ch Factory to offer you pieces that stay in your wardrobe for years. Maybe even something your kids will inherit one day. This is about creating joy, not just clothes.
Our signature silhouettes will still be there — timeless and rooted in African excellence. But we’re stepping into a bold new phase:
Novelty African resort wear that sparks joy
Forever your Ri.ch Aunty,
Rina
